We were there for an evening with Henry VIII. The setting was perfect as far as hostoric touches. The event was a complete pleasure. I cannot wait to come back!
If you love Tudor architecture, gorgeous gardens, history, and art you will enjoy Agecroft. The tulips are in full bloom right now. I've gone during the fall and the gardens are just as breathtaking, making this historical mansion a great place to visit year round. The mansion tour itself was more than I expected. The staff was highly knowledgeable and our group was captivated by all their facts and information. Every room in the mansion has stunning time period pieces. Great place to bring family while they are in town or if you love historic homes and gardens.
Enjoy the whole house and plan to return to visit the gardens each season. Easily overlooked as a place to visit and don't miss Virginia House right next door!
Fantastic place to visit in Richmond. I traveled an hour to tour this place, and it didn’t disappoint! I got in free because of the military, but tickets aren’t expensive-just make sure to book them ahead.
All staff I talked to were very informed and gave a great tour.
The gardens and house are absolutely beautiful. I would suggest going in the spring when everything is blooming, but I went in February and it was still a nice time to go.
I totally recommend this place because the history is super neat and it is absolutely gorgeous!
This historic estate is absolutely stunning! Great for dates, perfect for the family, and the Shakespeare Festival they host is outstanding. Highly recommend!
Absolutely gorgeous. I went for their Christmas event and the activities were great. The house in itself was beautiful. I would like to go back when there is not an event going on so it's less crowded and I can explore the manor more. I know there are a lot of fine details that I missed.
This is an historical and beautiful site to visit. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and answered questions. The gardens are equally as beautiful to walk through!
Great historic experience, and the herb gardens are tremendous MD historical buildings that are there in the mansion along with the gift store would be more than a pleasure for you to go and visit
